How do I know if my roof is giving a problem?
If you find any dampness, discoloration, peeled wallpaper, or a minor leakage in your roof, it is a sign that your roof needs a quick inspection. Meanwhile, it is a good idea to get your roof checked once in a year for any warps, cracked seams or paint, missing or broken shingles and other visible problems. This not only allows you to handle the situation before it gets worse, but can also save both your time and money.

What is the difference between re-roofing and re-covering?
Re-roofing is full replacement of the roofing system. It involves a complete tear off of the damaged roof and installing a new one. Whereas in re-covering, the old roof is resurfaced along with installing the new membrane. Original roof can get re-cover once or twice depending on its condition. Our roofers can give you the best advice after inspecting your deck if your roof can get another recover.

My roof leaks from few places. Do I need a re-roof?

Not always. Roof can start leaking due to lose seams and flashings. If only one section of your roof is deteriorated it can be fixed without a re-roof.

Usually, re-roofing is required if your roof is thoroughly damaged. Premature damage in your roof can mean that your roof was not properly installed, or was installed with poor quality material.


Can I install my roof myself?

No, you can’t. Majority of the work in roofs require professional training and experience. Moreover, proper safety standards should be maintained while repairing or replacing the roof or else you might hurt yourself bad. Improper handling can even worsen the existing condition of your roof.

Instead, you can inspect your roof from time to time to see if there are any cracks, curls, missing shingles, blocked gutters or debris on your roofs that can cause problems. Use full safety precautions while the checkup so that you don’t get hurt. But be careful, we DO NOT recommend you to do it yourself.


What is the usual lifetime of a roof?

The lifetime of a roof depends on different conditions like the type of material used, the quality standards maintained during installation, region’s environmental conditions, and maintenance work received.

Typically, Asphalt Roofing lasts for about 20-30 years, Rubber Roofing for about 50 years, and the life of Concrete Roofing is around 50 to 80 years depending on the above mentioned factors. Always review the warranty period given by the roofing contractors along with other financial commitments to judge the approximate life of roof to be installed.


How much will the new roof cost me?
Cost of the re-roof depends on type of roofing system you want depending on your choice, requirements and money you are willing to spend. Based on the life of roofing system and cost of its material, Asphalt roofing system is the cheapest one. Then, there is Rubber Roofing System and finally, it is the Concrete Roofing that is the most expensive of all but it has its own benefits, lifetime and style.
